Biography:
Gary J. Marcotte is Senior Vice President of Marketing for AutoNation, Inc., the Fort Lauderdale, Fla.-based Company that is America's largest automotive retailer. In his role, Marcotte oversees AutoNation’s Marketing, Advertising, Direct Mail, Loyalty Programs, Web Sites, and Online Search Marketing, along with the AutoUSA lead distribution and AutoNationDirect Affinity subsidiaries.
Marcotte is a 11-year veteran of AutoNation, having previously served as the Company's Senior Vice President of eCommerce, Vice President of New and Used Vehicle Operations, e-Commerce and other Retail Operations. He joined the Company in 1998, when, as the former Republic Industries, Inc., it merged with Driver's Mart Worldwide, Inc., a company which operated specialty used vehicle stores. At Driver's Mart, Marcotte was Director of Operations, overseeing areas such as product sourcing, information technology, training, sales process, store start-up, and operating standards.
Before Driver’s Mart, Marcotte supervised the field sales training that launched Toyota Motor Corp.'s Lexus Division and also created, launched and subsequently managed the Lexus Certified Pre-Owned Car program – the program that created the whole category of Certified Pre-Owned Vehicles. He began his automotive career with General Motors’ GMC Truck Division, where he served for ten years in various field and HQ positions.
Marcotte has a BA in Industrial Management from General Motors Institute (now called Kettering University). In 1986 he was selected to participate in the General Motors Fellowship Program and received his MBA from the Darden School at the University of Virginia.

Jenny Howell is the Manager of Interactive Marketing at American Honda. In this role, Jenny is develops and executes the online marketing strategy for both the Honda and Acura brands. She is responsible for both brands' web sites, interactive advertising campaigns, e-mail marketing, mobile initiatives, and social media activities.
Jenny has over 15 years of experience in online and interactive marketing. She began her career with several advertising agencies including Ammirati Puris Lintas, Young and Rubicam, and Genex Interactive where she successfully supported initial and ongoing online marketing efforts at well known brands such as UPS, LEGO, Compaq, Ameritech, Lincoln Mercury, and Acura. Jenny shifted to the client side of interactive marketing by joining American Honda in 2002 and has been in her role as Manager of Interactive Marketing since 2005.
Jenny received a BA in Art History from Duke University.

Eric started creating Auction Direct USA’s successful online strategy three years ago. He continues to expand their online presence to create a trusted brand, increase the numbers of customers ready to buy, and continuously improve the customer experience using Social Media. His experience over the past decade with marketing communications strategies, Internet technology, and online business development have helped a variety of businesses create effective online strategies and improve profit margins by reducing the cost of getting new customers.
Eric is the Internet Director for Auction Direct USA Used Cars Superstore; he blogs professionally at WhyBuyUsedCars.com in his effort to help change the way consumers buy used cars. Michael Baker

Michael has been involved in Automotive Retail his entire life, starting out working in multiple departments part-time at his father Robert Baker’s Chevrolet Dealership in Indianapolis and Royal Chevrolet in Bloomington, Indiana while attending 4 years, at Indiana University. He also worked part-time selling Kirby vacuum cleaners, & plants door-to-door along with Waterbed sales, gaining valuable insight regarding the importance of Customer Service. During his 7 years of college, Michael’s responsibilities at the dealership continually increased as he moved from managing the Rental Department, and then New and Used Vehicle Sales.
After graduating from the NADA Dealer Academy at the top of his class in 1984, Michael commenced General Managing Auto Operations. Over the next 20 years, Michael demonstrated his passion for both Variable and Fixed Operations as VP of Operations for the entire group and acted as General Manager of a variety of individually acquired Bob Baker stores, accumulating numerous Awards and Achievements from the various OEMs. In 2006 he took on the role as CEO/EVP.
Michael has a BA in Psychology and a BS in Business Management from San Diego State University. He was also very active in the Automotive Retail community taking leadership roles with a wide variety of organizations including the San Diego County Ford Dealer Council, Southern California Ford Dealer Council, San Diego Ford Dealer Advertising Association, the Ford-Direct Dealer Advisory Board, along with multiple panel participations with JD Power,and is still currently on the Auto Trader Dealer Advisory Board. Michael extends his community involvement beyond the business world as a board member for the American Diabetes Association, the San Diego Zoological Society, and the Girl Scouts of San Diego/Imperial Counties.
Michael has been married to his wife Jeanne for 20+ years and has two amazing children, Bridget age 18 and Austin age 15.

Tom Chisholm has been with Facebook since 2006 and was responsible for opening their Midwest office. In his current role as Sales Director, he manages sales for a 5 state Midwest region. Prior to his tenure at Facebook he spent 5 years as Midwest Vice President for Rodale, Inc. – a leading provider of health, fitness, and wellness media properties – where his responsibilities included corporate and digital sales. Before working for Rodale, Tom spent 9 years with Sports Illustrated where he rose from Account Executive to Southern California Manager. Tom is a graduate of Michigan State University.

Adam Boalt

Adam R. Boalt is the President and Founder of GOSO, which is based out of Washington, D.C. GOSO is an automotive social media management system which provides a variety of toolsets to help dealers successfully deploy social media campaigns. Boalt and his team launched GOSO last November and have quickly grown to be the industry leader in the automotive social media sector. He also just recently published an ebook, Social Media Best Practices for Automotive Dealers, which is being used by many OEM’s and dealer groups as their internal guide to social media best practices.
Boalt has been a new and social media innovator and thought leader for over a decade, making waves as both an individual and entrepreneur. He’s won numerous awards and accolades over the years, including a recent honorable Webby in April of 2010, which is one of the most sought out web awards for his more recent achievement, GOSO. Prior to that he was recently featured on the Speed Channel in a documentary about how social media is changing the automotive industry. He is a regular speaker on the industry conference circuit and has multiple write-ups in CNN, the Wall Street Journal and Forbes.
As well as masterminding the GOSO project, Adam is the founder and owner of BOALT, an interactive agency that's worked with over 30 of the Fortune 500 companies in building high-end, bespoke web solutions. Boalt’s interactive agency won first prize for the first government technology innovation contest held last year as part of Obama’s new transparency initiatives.
He continues to provide entrepreneurial direction across the board, offering leadership, experience, and the problem-solving skills he's put into practice in over a decade at the forefront of eCommerce business.
Boalt attended Florida International University for his Bachelor of Computer Science and then continued studies and became an Oracle Certified Developer at Oracle University in South Florida.

Linda Gangeri serves as the Manager of National Advertising for Volvo Cars of North America, one of the largest global markets for the Swedish automotive brand. Reporting to VCNA’s Vice President, Marketing and Product Planning, Linda is responsible for Volvo's Brand Communication, National Advertising, Interactive Marketing, Product Launch Communications and Integration. Prior to her current assignment, Ms. Gangeri was the Manager of Volvo's National e-Business department, responsible for all interactive marketing initiatives.
Her vast experience includes managing online and offline creative production, media plan development and implementation, website strategy and site development, product launch planning and event implementation. Continual improvement through the use of metrics is a key to her success.
A marketing professional focused on creating integrated marketing solutions that maximize spend, Linda is a passionate proponent of creative and innovative uses of multiple marketing channels. Linda has been instrumental in the development and execution of highly successful integrated new car launches for Volvo, most recently Volvo's launch of its crossover vehicle, the XC60. Additionally she has led much-lauded innovative multi-channel co-promotions with such popular films as Disney's Pirates of the Caribbean and the Twilight Saga: New Moon.
Linda has currently turned her focus to building the Volvo brand through the innovative uses of the digital landscape with an emphasis on behavioral targeting, search, mobile and the emerging social media channel.
A true Volvo brand loyalist, Linda has been with Volvo over 30 years. Throughout her tenure, she has held various critical leadership positions in both corporate headquarters and field operations, including Diversity Marketing, Tactical Advertising, e-Business, Regional Marketing, Dealer Systems, and other core business unit functions.
A native of Bergen County, New Jersey, Ms. Gangeri has one son, Ryan, 25. She currently resides in Mahwah, NJ.
