Biography:
Marcus W. Breitschwerdt was appointed President & CEO of Mercedes-Benz Canada, Inc., in March 2003. Breitschwerdt joined Mercedes-Benz in their Management Associate Program (Controlling) in the early 1990’s as a market specialist and later took on responsibility as assistant to the Senior VP of Corporate Planning. Subsequently he headed the environmental strategy department and served as one of three process managers for the DaimlerChrysler Integration. His most recent position at DaimlerChrysler included responsibility for marketing strategy for Mercedes-Benz passenger cars, product management for the A-Class and C-Class, worldwide mid-term and long-term sales planning and strategy, and concept development of all future Mercedes-Benz passenger cars.
Breitschwerdt is actively involved in the Canadian Automotive Industry and the general Canadian business community. He is a member of the York, Franklin, and Magna Clubs; the Chairman of the Canadian-German Chamber of Industry and Commerce; a Member of the DaimlerChrysler Canadian Advisory Council; and the Past Chairman of the Association of International Automobile Importers of Canada (2003 - 2005).

Gary J. Marcotte

Biography:
Gary J. Marcotte is Senior Vice President of eCommerce for AutoNation, Inc., the Fort Lauderdale, Fla.-based Company that is America's largest automotive retailer.
In his role, Marcotte oversees eCommerce activities and the AutoUSA lead distribution subsidiary. His team is leading the effort to build AutoNation’s on-line presence, including search engine marketing and AutoNation’s 600+ websites.
Marcotte is a 8-year veteran of AutoNation, having previously served as the Company's Vice President of New and Used Vehicle Operations, e-Commerce and other Retail Operations. He joined the Company in 1998, when, as the former Republic Industries, Inc., it merged with Driver's Mart Worldwide, Inc., a company which operated specialty used vehicle stores. At Driver's Mart, Marcotte was Director of Operations, overseeing areas such as product sourcing, information technology, training, sales process, store start-up, and operating standards.
Before Driver’s Mart, Marcotte supervised the field sales training that launched Toyota Motor Corp.'s Lexus Division and also launched and subsequently managed the Lexus Certified Pre-Owned Car program. He began his automotive career with General Motors’ GMC Truck Division, where he served for ten years in various field and HQ positions.
Marcotte has a BA in Industrial Management from General Motors Institute (now called Kettering University). In 1986 he was selected to participate in the General Motors Fellowship Program and received his MBA from the Darden School at the University of Virginia.

Mr. Kelly L. Mankin was appointed Vice President – Chrysler Brands Marketing for DaimlerChrysler Financial Services Americas in August 2004. Prior to this position, he served as Chief Operating Officer for RouteOne, LLC. He reports to William Jones, Vice President – Chrysler Financial.

Michael K. Lock

Biography:
Michael Karl Lock presently serves as Chief Executive Officer for Ducati North America, where he is responsible for the company’s North American subsidiary, as well as coordinating operations with the company’s 180 dealers throughout the U.S. and Canada. Today Ducati North America, headquartered in Cupertino, California, has an annual revenue of $90 million, and a staff of 45 employees.
Lock brings a wealth of international motorcycling experience and an in-depth knowledge of the American motorcycle market to the Italian superbike firm. He began his career at Honda Motor from 1984 through 1990 in that company’s London headquarters where he served as European Sales Coordinator, handling the Japanese motorcycle manufacturer’s sales activity in Germany, Holland, Belgium and Portugal.
In December 1990 Lock joined Triumph Motorcycles UK, the well-known British motorcycle manufacturer, at its headquarters in Hinckley as International Sales and Marketing Manager, where he was responsible for export operations to nine major European markets as well as Canada, Japan, Australia and New Zealand. Additionally, in his product development role he masterminded the launch of Triumph’s landmark Speed Triple model.
Just three years later, in early 1994, Lock was named Chief Executive Officer of Triumph Motorcycles USA in Atlanta, Georgia. There he established a new subsidiary office for the parent UK company and with a staff of 20 generated a turnover of $20 million in just three years while creating a 100-dealer network in over 40 states. Lock also spearheaded Triumph’s return to the world of Showbiz, tying up deals with stars like Pamela Anderson, for Barb Wire and sponsorship of Meatloaf’s 1996 World Tour.
Returning to the UK in 1998, Lock worked as Commercial Director for Metropolis Developments, marketing innovative developments in London’s hot residential property areas, and then as Marketing Director at Domus Tiles Ltd., where he was responsible for all marketing operations at the UK’s top architectural interiors consulting firm.
In September 2002, Lock returned to the motorcycle arena, joining Ducati Motor Holding as Managing Director of its Ducati UK subsidiary, supervising its 18 employees, 33 dealers including five corporate stores and generating annual revenue of $40 million. He remained in England until February 2003, when he assumed his present role as CEO of Ducati North America.
Lock received a B.A. in Economics and Politics from London University and a M.B.A. with a focus on International Brand Management from Cardiff University Business School.

Gabriel Escallon

Biography:
Gabriel Escallon is President of the newly formed finAvanza, the Financial subsidiary of Didacol, a 90 year old Company that is the exclusive distributor for Peugeot, Daihatsu, Hino, Mack Trucks and Komatsu in Colombia. finAvanza finances the group´s customers through in-house financing programs and through the banking sector. finAvanza also provides all other F&I services to Didacol dealers across the country.
In his role, Escallon is responsible for all functional areas of the new company. His initial focus is on the roll-out of operations to all Didacol group dealers in Colombia by the end of 2007, and the implementation of CRM within the dealerships. A critical goal is the development of comprehensive, best practice CRM processes that improve marketing, sales, and customer service.
Escallon has worked in the Automotive industry for the past 15 years. His most recent role was Retail Operations Manager for Mercedes-Benz Canada. His responsibilities included strategic development, implementation and compliance of all policies programs supporting MB Canada’s Retail Division, and maintaining a profitable, client oriented Retail Store network. He was also responsible for leading the design and implementation of CRM initiatives and system developments. Prior to MB Canada, Escallon was Assistant General Manager for Toronto Mack with responsibility for fixed operations, budgeting, and strategic planning. He also spent 7 years at Didacol, first as Commercial Manager with responsibility for sales, marketing, and foreign trade for the entire dealer network and then as General Manager of the logistics business unit with responsibility for strategic planning, asset acquisition, alliances, and hiring.
Escallon has a BS in Business Administration from the Universidad Politécnico Grancolombiano and a MBA from the INALDE Business School (in Association with Harvard Business School) both located in Bogota, Colombia.

Thilo Koslowski

Biography:
In his role as Vice President - Automotive in Gartner’s Manufacturing Industry Advisory Service, Mr. Koslowski helps business and IT leaders in the automotive industry to unlock the potential of technology to drive growth and manage technology's impact on business models and processes. His analysis centers around critical topics related to the automotive demand & supply chains, in-vehicle information & communication applications and IT trends.
Before joining Gartner, Mr. Koslowski was a consultant in GartnerConsulting's Executive Market Analysis Program, where he participated in customized domestic and international consulting assignments for vendors in the services and e-business markets. Prior to that, he worked in various marketing positions for a premium, European automaker. Mr. Koslowski graduated with honors from the Technical University (RWTH) Aachen in Germany and holds a master's degree in Business Studies with majors in Marketing, European Economy and Production Engineering.
As Gartner’s lead analyst for the automotive vertical, Mr. Koslowski is regularly quoted in global publications, TV and radio broadcasts including the Wall Street Journal, Financial Times, CNET, BBC, Automotive News, PC Magazine, ABC News and others.

Terry Dolan

Biography:
Terry Dolan is the manager for Chevrolet's racing efforts in NASCAR, the American Le Mans Series, and the National Hot Rod Asscoiation. Dolan, a 10 year motorsports marketing veteran, is responsible for creating the marketing presence for Chevorlet's racing affiliations.In his current position since November of 2005, Dolan’s responsibilities include building brand equity for Chevrolet in motorsports, developing advertising and marketing strategies, and maintaining an effective team and driver portfolio. He also manages the division’s motorsports marketing and budget plans which includes national, regional, and dealer activation designed to increase purchase consideration and public opinion of Chevrolet products.
Prior to this position Dolan served as the marketing manager for the Monte Carlo and Chevy Racing. In that role, he led, developed, and executed the marketing launch of the 2000 Monte Carlo, coordinated development of all vehicle communication strategies, and leveraged the divisional motorsport investment through national and regional activation programs. During this time he was also recognized by Street and Smith’s Sports Business Journal for the “Promotion of the Year” for his work in a joint promotion with Warner Bros. Consumer Products for the 2002 “Chevy Monte Carlo 400 with the Looney Tunes.”
Dolan has over 25 years of experience in various facets of the automotive industry. He has held numerous positions in sales, marketing, distribution, sales promotion, product planning, and customer service since joining Chevrolet in 1981.
He received a Bachelor of Arts degree in automotive technology and business management from Ferris State University in Big Rapids, Michigan. Dolan currently resides in Lake Orion, Michigan with his wife Jeannie.

Bonita Coleman Stewart brings more than 20 years of marketing, technology, and industry expertise to Google, where she oversees strategy development and execution for the automotive category. Prior to joining Google, she provided operational and thought leadership as the Director, Chrysler Group Interactive Communications for DaimlerChrysler AG. In 2005, Advertising Age named the Chrysler Group Interactive Marketer of the Year. Bonita also enjoyed a 10-year career with IBM and co-founded Nia Enterprises, a web-based company, in 2000.
Bonita is a frequent speaker at numerous marketing and interactive conferences such as iMedia, eTail, AD:TECH and Automotive CRM Roundtable and has been quoted in such publications as Automotive News, Advertising Age, Brandweek and USA Today. In 2005, she co-authored “The Fifth P of Marketing,” an article for CRM Magazine.
Bonita has a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism with honors from Howard University and an MBA from Harvard Business School. She currently serves on the Board of Trustees for the Detroit Music Hall and as a board member for the Birmingham Bloomfield Art Center. She resides in Birmingham, Michigan with her husband, Kevin Stewart.

Karen Newman is the Automotive Industry Lead Partner for the Americans. In this role, Ms. Newman is responsible for managing the portfolio of clients across Automotive OEMs, Automotive Suppliers, and Heavy Equipment manufacturers. This responsibility includes client relationships, client satisfaction, and value realization related to the solutions IBM develops and implements with those organizations.
Prior to this role Ms. Newman lead the Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) services area for IBM’s Automotive Industry team in the Americas. In addition, she represents IBM on the Automotive Industry Action Group (AIAG) Steering Committee for Collaborative Engineering & Product Development.
Ms. Newman has more than 20 years experience in helping customers transform and improve their businesses and develop strategies and processes for success, with a deep focus on engineering and manufacturing organizations. Ms. Newman has a broad background in business transformation with firms such as Ford, Visteon, General Motors, DaimlerChrysler, Federal Mogul, IBM and many others in the automotive industry.
Prior to joining IBM in 1997, Ms. Newman worked for Electronic Data Systems in a variety of leadership roles spanning 11 years. Ms. Newman earned a Bachelor of Science degree with high honors in Electrical Engineering from Michigan State University.
Dave Schoonover

David Schoonover joined Kia Motors America, Inc. in May of 2006 as their first CRM & Online Marketing Manager. In this role, Mr. Schoonover is responsible for all of Kia’s customer relationship management marketing and online marketing efforts including strategy, media, websites, and eLeads.
Prior to joining Kia, Mr. Schoonover worked at Nissan North America, Inc. for over 10 years, with responsibility in various capacities including Lead Management, Model Line Marketing, and Remarketing. While at Nissan, Mr. Schoonover conceived, developed, and implemented a comprehensive Lead Management Program that greatly enhanced Nissan’s ability to maximize the value of Internet customers. Mr. Schoonover has also held positions at Ford Motor Company and Pizza Hut, Inc.
A native of Detroit, MI, Mr. Schoonover holds a BBA from Western Michigan University and an MBA from Pepperdine University. Mr. Schoonover is also a licensed pilot. He is based at the Kia Motors America headquarters in Southern California where he resides with his wife, Heather.

Jamie Smith is the Senior Manager of Application Development for Nissan Motor Acceptance Corporation. In this capacity he oversees North American application development and CRM for the captive finance arm of Nissan and Infiniti. He came to Nissan from PriceWaterhouseCoopers and IBM where he managed the CRM solution set known as CRM ACCEL. Ed Allen, Vice President, Automotive Industry Business Unit at Oracle, has been working in the automotive industry in IT and Operations for 19 years and at Oracle for the past seven years. His automotive industry experience includes positions managing Supply Chain, IT, Manufacturing and Product Development at Mazda and Ford. He has deep experience in Applied Technology, Lean Manufacturing, International Logistics, ERP systems implementation and organizational transformation. He has had many complex and challenging assignments including developing and deploying international manufacturing systems, managing International Logistics operations and launching vehicle programs in Asia, South America, and Europe.
In his current role as, Ed has global responsibility for Oracle Automotive Solutions across the automotive industry. Jason Kuruzovich

Biography:
Dr. Jason Kuruzovich is an assistant professor of Management Information Systems at the Lally School of Management and Technology, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. Jason studies issues relating to the impact of information technology and markets on organizations, consumers, and employees. He has completed extensive studies within the auto retailing context, examining the role of customer focused information systems, online auctions, and online infomediaries. His current research examines the implications of information system use on salesperson productivity. Jason has a Ph.D. in Information Systems from the University of Maryland and a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from Lafayette College. His research has been accepted and is forthcoming at leading journals including the Journal of Marketing, Information System Research, and Organizational Behavior and Human Decision Processes. He has also developed numerous practitioner focused white papers and believes close contact with industry is an important part of the research process.

Robert Otillar is the Manager of the Siebel Solution Center at Volvo Information Technology, an independent IT solutions provider that supports, Volvo Trucks, Volvo Bus, Volvo Penta, Volvo CE, Volvo Cars and other companies across the world. Volvo IT has offices world-wide with over 5,000 employees.
In his role, Robert has responsibility for customer interactions across sales, service, and marketing functional areas. In addition, he led one of largest projects within the AB Volvo Group, creating a common case management system for several business units. For successfully implementing this ongoing project, Robert received the 2005 President’s Award awarded annually to one Volvo IT employee.
Robert has worked in the Information Technology field for the past 24 years. Prior to Volvo IT, he worked for several Fortune 100 Companies, including IBM, Qwest Communications, and Schlumberger. During the last 10 years of his career Robert’s primary focus has been in the field of CRM, with a major emphasis on Siebel Systems based technology.
Robert majored in International Business and Foreign Languages at Loyola University – New Orleans, and is a native of New Orleans.
